Festival Chardonnay is a blend of several lots of Chardonnay. It was fermented entirely in stainless steel tanks. It is light, dry, crisp and clean with refreshing aromas and flavors of apple, lemon, pineapple and stones. This is a great every day white, perfect with pasta, poultry, fish and cheese dishes.
“The 2018 Festival Chardonnay is very dry, unoaked and comes in at 12% alcohol. Not quite in bottle two months when seen, this entry-level seemed to be in good shape. As always, it is uncomplicated fun for warm weather. Clean, fresh and bright, it is always a pretty decent value on Long Island. The fresh feel adds a little tension to the finish, and the concentration is respectable for the level and style. This 2018 vintage had some issues, but at this level they are probably harder to notice, which is what likely results in my monotonously consistent ratings for this wine. Age them all for five years to compare and things may be different, but that is an exercise few engage in—it is not the type of wine that people are expected to age. Drink it young to keep it fresh.” – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate – 87 points – May 31st, 2018
