Description
The ruby-red color is echoed by bright aromatics of cherry and strawberry preserves, along with notes of fig, mint, dried leaves, and baking spices, with a slightly sweet hint of blackstrap molasses. Traces of menthol and anise are continued on the palate, with brambly black fruit rounded by notes of cedar. The plump and soft mid-palate is followed by a prominent acid spine that carries the finish, with a fine tannic edge enveloped in a woodsy and rustic character.
