Rum Bonampak Cocoa

Cocoa is a plant native to America. Especially in Chiapas, in the Soconusco region and where our distillery is located, cacao was cultivated since pre-Columbian times and was even used as currency and drunk by nobles. Its boom and economic impact were so great that Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, 15 years before writing “Don Quixote”, asked King Felipe II to be governor of these lands.

Our crystalline white rum is carefully blended with a natural extract of cocoa from Soconusco and aged for three years. The result of the mixture of two of the most prestigious products of Chiapas is a truly exquisite experience. Mellow, round, with a slight bitterness typical of aging, its frank aroma of chocolate is enveloping, embracing. He has been awarded internationally. *
