Shelburne Vineyards Crimson Sails

Crimson Sails is our first ever non-oak-aged expression of the Marquette grape. Marquette, a cold-hardy hybrid descended from Pinot Noir, has become the leading red grape in Vermont, and is the grape that we grow the most of. Until now, all of our Marquette wines were aged for at least six months in oak barrels. This new wine has been fermented and aged only in stainless steel tanks, providing fruit forward flavors, and smooth textures from first sips, through the finish.
